We tackled the sweet park at Alpine this weekend. Best weather we've had yet, and a great slopestyle park to boot. Pipe was a little narrow, improving our reaction times to adapt for it. 360's to be had all around, Carly made new friends with the shotgun rail and Tyler made friends with an oxygen mask. Warm welcome to Scotty Oliver as he joins the team!

Week 3 Highlights
AOS hoodies were made, thanks to Shred for setting that up! We had a sweet powder day and got some serious practice on the press boxes this weekend at Georgian Peaks. Somehow found a tree jib and a river gap... Video post to come.

TRAINING: 50/50 >180 > 50/50
Words of wisdom from Sweatman's on hill training. Simplest way to think of it, "Like a mini air butter" - Sweatman.

Week 2 Highlights
Week 2 found us at Osler, fortunate enough to have a park to train on after one heckuva warm week. Congratulations to Scotty and Zach for landing their first frontside boardslide > 270 out (not an easy move!) and to Carly for takin' it up a notch doing switch boardslides and tailslides.
Missed ya this week Will (better have some good stories) and it was defineatly quieter without Maxwell in the mix on Sunday.

TRAINING: Sliding with a stacked body
This is what we call 'stacking' the body. Check out where the riders hips are. Stacked smack dead centre over the point of contact. So whatever part of the board is touching the rail, you want to balance your hips over that point of contact. The more you tweak the board out, the more you'll have to get your groove on with those hips.

Week 1 Video
Take a look at your tricks, watch 'em frame by frame. This is your first lesson in dissecting your riding and learning how to control your movements. By week 9 you're gonna look back and laugh about how easy those moves were...
